abominable snowman mythYou most likely know the Abominable snowman myth, but did you know the Yeti has his own sanctuary?

Global warming is a snowman’s worst nightmare, but it’s also a nightmare for a lake that is fed by melting waters of glaciers. Even lakes have limits when it comes to being able to accumulate water…

Bhutan has at least 25 glacial lakes that are at the edge of bursting due to too much melted ice coming in.

The sad news is that the water will be dumped like a tsunami in the valleys of Bhutan. And it’s in these valleys that most of the country’s population lives.

It’s simple: the white snow frozen tops of the Himalayas melt and the water gets dumped in the green valleys…

Isn’t it sad that the only country with a sanctuary for the abominable snowman myth will be the first to be deadly hit by global warming…
